Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has been extensively researched, and shown to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, fear/anxiety, low self-esteem, etc., that stem from distressing or traumatic life events. Rather than talking in length about the events, processing occurs by using left to right tapping or eye movements, which helps to reduce the distressing parts, make space for a new and more adaptive perspective, and restore your brain's natural healing process.

Integrating the disciplines of theology and psychology to help you regain a sense of hope, redemption, and restoration through Jesus Christ, our ultimate healer. This typically includes incorporating Biblical principles combined with therapeutic strategies to improve your mental and emotional health, and lead you to a stronger relationship with God.

"'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" - Jeremiah 29:11

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly".

- John 10:10

Exposure and Response Prevention is an evidenced-based treatment used to reduce symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Together, we will create a plan and take small steps toward facing your fears, reducing your obsessive thoughts, and decreasing the need to engage in compulsive behaviors.

Beauty for Ashes

Welcome to Beauty for Ashes! My name is Stacey, and I'm grateful to journey alongside you as we navigate this season of life together. Whether you are walking through recent stressors, or have felt stuck in the same cycle for decades, it's never too early or too late to experience greater freedom in your life. My faith in Jesus Christ drives my firm belief that "healing is possible"; however, please know that all faith backgrounds are welcome.

I received my Masters in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University in 2010, and am certified in EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and am a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC); also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
